What is the prize pool?
For B.Sc. participants, the best thesis from each of the three faculties will be awarded. Among these, one outstanding work will earn the special title of “Thesis of the Year” − M.Sc. and PhD participants will also be awarded based on the quality and impact of their research.

How many rounds are there?
The competition has three rounds:
•Round 1 – Abstract Submission
• Round 2– Slide Submission
• Round 3 – 3MT Presentation
Do you need to pay the registration fee in Round 1?
No. Round 1 (Abstract Submission) is completely free. From Round 2 onward, a small registration fee of BDT 400 per participant (BDT 200 for KRS members) will be applicable.
Who will be the judges?
Academicians, Industrial Experts (employers), and Alumni will be part of the judging panel. The first round judgement will be anonymous.
What kind of slide can I use for the final presentation?
Only one static PowerPoint slide is allowed, no animations, transitions, videos, or props. The slide should visually support your talk, not replace it
What are the common reasons for disqualification?
Plagiarism, exceeding the time limit, using props or animations in slides, and violating research integrity (e.g., false data or misconduct).

The competition is open to undergraduate (2k20-2k24). You can participate individually or as a team of two.
What is the registration fee?
BDT 100 per submission (BDT 50 per submission for KRS members) N.B.: For a team of two, both members must be KRS members to avail the reduced fee.
Can I form a team with someone from a different batch?
Yes, Inter-batch teams are allowed (e.g. 2k20 + 2k21)

Submissions should be in .doc or .pdf format (.doc is preferred).

Can I use images or figures?
Absolutely, you are encouraged to include images, graphs, or tables,as long as they are properly captioned and cited. Visuals make your writing stronger and more engaging.
How many rounds are there?
The technical writing competition has a single round. Your written submission will be evaluated directly by the judges.
